What is Matcha and how is it different from other teas?

Matcha is finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves. It is distinct from other green teas and green tea powders because it is:

Matcha Smoothie Fill 16-ounce cup with ice. Top the cup with milk, soy, or nut milk. Place in blender with 2-3 tablespoons of Matcha and blend until smooth. Add flavored syrup as desired. Baking Applications may vary. Generally, 1% - 2% Matcha per total ingredients used.
